Deep beneath the sea, below even where most life can thrive, a passage through time and space creates a rift. Within this rift grows a colorful coral reef, basking under the stars of the galaxy. Using the radiance of the stars to glow in fluorescent wonder, all kinds of hard and soft corals explode in growth, providing this unseen natural phenomenon.
This month’s theme goes back to saltwater in a big way. This is designed for a larger aquarium system, with huge ornaments to account for the increased size. The ideal aquarium setup for this aquascape is one that is fairly tall, since the height of the aquarium can be leveraged to create a towering coral reef. With various resin corals lined along the rock work and a purplish, blue light to accommodate the coral reef look, the galaxy background is able to shine. The stars in the background emit a dim yet satisfying glow, emphasizing the theme’s celestial vibe and making the entire aquascape appear vast and endless, much like outer space. The theme gives the aquarium a sense of depth that extends beyond the sloped substrate. This aquascape provides plenty of corners, crevices and hiding spots, making it ideal for large fish as well as smaller, more sensitive fish.
