        Comments about Maxi-Jet Pro Multi-Use Water Pump - 400:

You get what you pay for. If you just want water movement and don't care about the quality it is good. However, the pumps are all ridiculously loud and are not the best quality. Do yourself a favour and buy a better pump.

          Comments about Maxi-Jet Pro Multi-Use Water Pump - 400:

This was easy to setup. Versatility is incredible. Comes with all the parts you need to use it as a powerhead, circulation pump or utility pump which can run external reactors, skimmers, filters, heaters, etc.. This thing moves lots of water and you won't find better value for what you get. I will be buying more for my other aquariums.

Best circulating pump for the money anywhere. Beats Korilia, Aqueon, Coralife and Tunze by a mile, price wise that is. may be a little bigger but in a 72 gallons reef tank it doesn't show.

Yes, it would work but a Koralia or Rossmont Mover would be a better choice. The Maxijet tend to be noisier and the suction cups dont hold well after time.

Unfortunately I don't have the correct answer. I would recommend contacting manufacture. I believe with a transformer and an adapter it should work, but it is best to verify with the manufacture.

                    Q:

Would two 1200s work for a 250 gallon fresh water tank that is 8' long and 2' high and wide? I was going to put one on each end for more water movement. Would this product produce better water movement as a power head or a circulation pump?

                      A:

These pumps will work better in that size of an aquarium as a circulation pump and will move more water. My preference would be Koralia units as they have a magnet mount and not a suction cup mount that over time will fail. For the price these pumps can't be beat.

Yes, the maxi-jet pro will work. A better choice would be the Maxi Jet Submersible Utility pump as the flow is adjustable.

                    Q:

I want to buy a pump for my tank. My tank is 20 inches tall and is a corner bow front. 23.75 inches on each straight side. It holds right around 40 gallons.

Would this pump be enough/too much? I just want to circulate the water around the bow front to circle back to corner where the filter is located. Also, to give the fish something to swim against.

It would depend on the type of fish you have. In most case it would not be too much especially if it is marine or cichlid aquarium.

SKU# 16702 is the corresponding pre-filter sponge or 'filter' for this powerhead. Alternatively these powerheads are often used to pump water through UV sterilizers, or as the main pumps for undergravel filters.
